Peacock belong to class Aves.Their body is covered with feathers which are attractive in colour.The male peacock open their feathers before rain, when clouds are gathered i.e at cheesy clouds on sky.They dance because to attract the female peahens to mate. Peacock's mating period is from April to september.Male peacock shows it feathers for sexual attraction towards female peahens.This is the main reason behind the peacock dance in rainy season.
