Share (Finance) is a unit of the capital of a corporation. When an entity is seeking for investments, it divides the capital that is required to continue the operations into units which are called as shares. These shares are useful in distributing the dividends (profits) and also easier to pool the capital from various sources.

Mutual funds are the investment funds that accumulate money from various small, medium, and large investors and are usually managed by the professional fund managers. These profits are again distributes based on the ratio of the investments.
